Spouse Name Inclusion

I got married recently. How do I get my spouse’s name included in my passport?
You can now apply for addition of spouse name through an additional booklet, as hand-written endorsements are being done away with. The relevant application form is Miscellaneous services application form (Form 2). A copy of your marriage certificate is required to be submitted. (The original is to be produced at the counter for verification). Your spouse's passport should be produced at the counter for verification, along with a photocopy of it.

In the absence of a marriage certificate, a joint affidavit (notarized) with a joint photograph can also be submitted. Husbands' passport, along with a copy, is to be produced.

The fee is the same as that for reissue, i.e., Rs. 1000/-, apart from the tatkaal fee applicable, if any.
